WARM SPINACH DIP IN A BREAD BOWL

Warm Spinach Dip in a Bread Bowl image

This recipe is Yum-Yum! I don't like spinach, but love this recipe. I found it in our local paper. I made it for New Year's Eve and it was ate before anything else! I used Green Giant creamed spinach, as I couldn't find the Stouffer's and I left out the green onions just as a personal preference. You can use any type of round bread. I used Hawaiian bread, again just a personal selection. You can use round rye or sourdough, etc. Try it and you will see just how delicious this is! (Recipe by Nestle USA.)

Tips:

  • Choose the right bread: A sturdy bread that can hold up to the dip is best. Sourdough, French bread, or a hollowed-out loaf of Italian bread are all good options.
  • Make the dip ahead of time: The dip can be made up to 2 days ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. When you're ready to serve, let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Use fresh spinach: Fresh spinach will give the dip the best flavor. If you only have frozen spinach, thaw it and squeeze out all the excess water before using.
  • Don't overcook the spinach: Spinach cooks very quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Otherwise, it will become mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: A combination of cheeses will give the dip a richer flavor. Cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese are all good options.
  • Add some spices: A little bit of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika will give the dip a nice flavor boost.
  • Serve the dip warm: Spinach dip is best served warm. You can warm it up in the oven or microwave before serving.

Conclusion:

Spinach dip in a bread basket is a classic party appetizer that is always a hit. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With these tips, you can make the best spinach dip in a bread basket that your guests will love.
