Tips for Steaming Broccoli with Dill

  • Choose fresh, tender broccoli. Look for broccoli crowns that are deep green in color and have tightly closed florets. Avoid broccoli that has yellowing or wilted florets.
  • Cut the broccoli into even-sized florets. This will help them cook evenly. If the florets are too large, they may not cook through properly.
  • Steam the broccoli until it is tender-crisp. Overcooking will make the broccoli mushy. You can check for doneness by piercing the florets with a fork. They should be tender, but still have a slight crunch.
  • Season the broccoli with dill, salt, and pepper. Fresh dill is best, but you can also use dried dill if you don't have any on hand. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the broccoli immediately. Steamed broccoli is best enjoyed fresh, so don't let it sit around for too long before serving.

Conclusion

Steamed broccoli with dill is a simple, healthy, and delicious side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. It is a good source of vitamins and minerals, and it is also a good way to get your daily dose of vegetables. If you are looking for a new way to prepare broccoli, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
