8 cups cabbage, finely chopped
1/4 cup carrot, shredded
2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
1/3 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • Be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped up into small pieces (about the size of rice).
  • Combine Splenda, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat until smooth.
  • Add the cabbage, carrots and onion and mix well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • I like to use the premade slaw mix, and chop it up finer and then mix the wet ingredients.

FOR THE SALAD
1/2 large head savoy cabbage
1 large carrot, shredded
FOR THE DRESSING:
1/4-1/2 c xylitol
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tsp dry mustard
1 Tbsp celery seed
1 c unfiltered apple cider vinegar
2/3 c grapeseed oil

Steps:

  • 1. Shred the carrots and cabbage and put into a medium size bowl.
  • 2. Combine the other ingredients in a small sauce pan and warm until the Xylitol is dissolved.
  • 3. Cool the dressing
  • 4. Pour "some" of the dressing on the cabbage/carrot mixture and stir making sure it's all coated
  • 5. If you have left over dressing you can freeze it.
  • 6. Enjoy!
