Tips:

  • Choose the Right Popcorn Kernels: Use high-quality popcorn kernels that are fresh and non-GMO. This will ensure that your popcorn pops evenly and has a great flavor.
  • Use the Right Oil: Use a high-heat oil like avocado oil or grapeseed oil. These oils can withstand high temperatures without burning, which is important for making popcorn.
  • Use the Right Pot: Use a large pot with a lid that is big enough to hold all the popcorn kernels. This will prevent the popcorn from popping out of the pot and making a mess.
  • Season Popcorn Generously: Don't be shy with the seasonings! Tex-Mex popcorn is all about big flavors, so use plenty of chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Add Toppings: Once the popcorn is popped, you can add a variety of toppings to taste. Some popular options include grated cheese, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and sour cream.
