Steps:
- 1. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into rectangles. Press the seams together to form four rectangles.
- 2. Spread cream cheese on each rectangle. Shred turkey over cream cheese and top with cranberry sauce. (You can also add some dried cranberries or finely chopped walnuts, too.) Roll up the rectangle from the short side and press the seam to seal.
- 3. Cut each roll into 4 or 5 pinwheels, and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- 4. Bake according to package directions (or 350°F) for 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.
Tips:
- Choose the right type of tortillas. Sturdy tortillas are less likely to tear when rolled up, making them ideal for pinwheels. Corn tortillas and large flour tortillas both work well.
- Spread the filling evenly. Don't overload the tortillas with filling, or they will be difficult to roll up. Aim for a thin, even layer that will spread easily.
- Roll the tortillas tightly. The tighter the tortillas are rolled, the less likely they are to fall apart. Use a rolling pin to help you get a tight roll.
- Chill the pinwheels before slicing. This will help them hold their shape and make them easier to cut. Chill the pinwheels for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the pinwheels with your favorite dipping sauce. Ranch dressing, hummus, and guacamole are all great options.
Conclusion:
Turkey cranberry pinwheels are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and they can be assembled in just a few minutes. Whether you are serving them at a party or packing them for lunch, these pinwheels are sure to be a hit. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give turkey cranberry pinwheels a try!
