salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 cup Italian-style panko bread crumbs
3 tablespoons peanut oil
2 green onions, thinly sliced
4 slices Cheddar cheese
4 hamburger rolls, split
¼ cup mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper in a shallow bowl; generously coat with panko bread crumbs, pressing crumbs into chicken.

3/4 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon each onion powder and paprika
2 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup canola oil
6 brioche hamburger buns, split
Optional: Shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickle slices, onion slices, mayonnaise
