WISCONSIN POTATO CHEESE SOUP
This recipe was handed down to me by my mother. I was raised on a farm and these ingredients were readily available in our area. We have many potato farms nearby, and, of course, being "America's Dairyland," there's always plenty of cheese and milk for this great-tasting soup. -Darlene Alexander, Nekoosa, Wisconsin

Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the soup will taste. Look for fresh vegetables, sharp cheese, and a good quality broth.
- Don't overcrowd the pot. If you add too many ingredients to the pot, the soup will be too thick and the vegetables will not cook evenly.
- Simmer the soup for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld and the vegetables to soften.
- Season the soup to taste. Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste. You may also want to add a splash of lemon juice or white wine.
- Serve the soup hot with crusty bread or crackers.
Conclusion:
Wisconsin cheese soup is a delicious and easy-to-make soup that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is also a great way to use up leftover cheese. With its creamy texture and sharp flavor, Wisconsin cheese soup is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
