½ cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
¼ cup milk
½ fresh pineapple, peeled and cored
¼ cup walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Heat chocolate-hazelnut spread and milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until spread is melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Grill pineapple on preheated grill until lightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side. Transfer pineapple to a platter. Drizzle with chocolate mixture and sprinkle walnuts on top.

Steps:

  • Prepare grill. Cut pineapple lengthwise through leaves, keeping leaves attached, into 8 wedges. Grill pineapple wedges, a cut side down, on a lightly oiled rack set 5 to 6 inches over glowing coals until just charred, about 2 minutes on each cut side.
  • Serve pineapple with ice cream and dulce de leche.

1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon grated lime peel
1 teaspoon orange-flower water*
1 large ripe pineapple
1/4 cup minced fresh mint

Steps:

  • Whisk first 4 ingredients in large glass baking dish. Peel pineapple; cut crosswise into 6 rounds. Remove core; discard. Add pineapple to dish; turn to coat. Cover with plastic wrap; let stand at room temperature at least 1 hour and up to 2 hours.
  • Prepare barbecue (medium heat). Remove pineapple from marinade (reserve marinade). Grill until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to serving dish. Pour reserved marinade over. Sprinkle with mint. Serve warm or chilled.

1 medium fresh pineapple
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • In a small bowl, combine the honey, rum, if using, lime juice, and rosemary. Stir well to combine. Adjust the flavors with a little more honey or lime juice to taste. Cover and let infuse at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours, or refrigerate overnight.
  • Cut the pineapple : Remove the top, bottom, and skin, then cut it into quarters.
  • Cut out the core and slice each section lengthwise into three large wedges. Avoid cutting the spears too thin.
  • Prepare a medium (350°F to 375°F) gas or charcoal grill fire. Lightly oil the grate.
  • Brush the pineapple wedges on both sides with the honey glaze.
  • With the lid open, grill the pineapple over indirect heat for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, brushing occasionally with more glaze, until golden and tender.
  • Remove from the grill and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
