Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2. Toast bread on baking sheet until golden.
- 3. Cool.
- 4. Cover raisins in hot water and soak.
- 5. Combine sugar, corstarch, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
- 6. Whisk eggs then gradually whisk in sugar mix.
- 7. Whisk in sugar mix, milk and vanilla.
- 8. Spread toast in a 13x9 glass baking dish.
- 9. Pour egg mix over bread.
- 10. Drain raisins and sprinkle over top.
- 11. Bake 50 minutes until top is golden and center is just set.
- 12. Let stand at least 10 minutes.
