Time 15m

Yield about 40 pieces (10 to 12 servings)

Number Of Ingredients 4

One 14-ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
One 9-ounce wheel Brie
One 2.75-ounce package white mini toasts
1/4 pound sliced prosciutto, cut into 1/2-inch strips

Steps:

  • Unmold the cranberry sauce from the can, and slice into 1/4-inch-thick rounds. Trim the rounds into 1-inch squares.
  • Remove the outer rind from the wheel of Brie, leaving the top and bottom rind intact. Cut across into 3/4-inch-thick slices, then cut the slices into 1-inch pieces.

I'm not a big fan of brie, but I loved these bites. The cranberries and prosciutto really balance out the flavor of the cheese.

I've made these bites with different types of cheese and they're always delicious. I think they would also be good with a spreadable fruit preserve.

I love the combination of sweet and savory in these bites. The brie is creamy and rich, the cranberries are tart and tangy, and the prosciutto adds a nice salty crunch.
