Carrot Cake Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 15

Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cup oil
3 cups grated carrots
4 eggs
Frosting:
1 (8 oz) cream cheese (room temperature)
1 box powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Cake: Mix sugar and oil; add dry ingredients and carrots. Add eggs one at a time. Bake at 325 in (2) 9" greased & floured pans for 35-40 minutes. Frosting: Mix cream cheese, vanilla and butter; add sifted powder sugar and mix; then add nuts and mix.
