Time 25m

Yield 3-4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb chicken breast, cubed
1/4 cup ranch salad dressing
1 cup crushed corn flakes cereal
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400; grease an 11x7 baking pan; set aside.
  • Pour Ranch dressing into Bowl 1.
  • Combine Bowl 2 ingredients, set aside.
  • Toss chicken in Bowl 1, then Bowl 2; fluffing artistically :-) .
  • Place chicken cubes in single layer on baking pan.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • Serve with additional Ranch dressing.
  • VARIATION: Use Bleu cheese dressing instead (much more yumm-o for the grown-up palate!).
  • VARIATION #2: There's always the honey-mustard salad dressing route, too.

These chicken tenders were a bit bland for my taste. I think I needed to add more seasoning to the breading. But the cereal breading was really good. I used Corn Flakes and it gave the chicken a nice crunch.

I love this recipe! The cereal-breaded chicken tenders are so easy to make and they always come out perfect. I usually use Corn Flakes, but I have also tried using other cereals like Rice Krispies and Frosted Flakes. They all work well.

These chicken tenders were a bit too dry for my taste. I think I overcooked them. But the cereal breading was really good. I used Frosted Flakes and it gave the chicken a sweet and crunchy coating. I will try this recipe again, but I will be careful
