CHOCOLATE BOURBON BALLS image

Yield 5 dozen

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
3 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 c. bourbon
2 1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. finely chopped nuts
1 c. sugar

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate over hot (not boiling) water and remove from heat. Add corn syrup and bourbon. In large bowl, combine vanilla wafer crumbs, powdered sugar and nuts. Add chocolate mixture and mix well. Let stand approximately 1/2 hour before forming into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar. Place in covered container and let season several days. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
