Hot-off-the-griddle French toast is sandwiched around a rich, orange and cream cheese filling.

Steps:
- In small bowl, mix cream cheese and marmalade until blended. Spread 8 slices of the bread with cream cheese mixture. Top each with 1 of the remaining bread slices, making 8 sandwiches.
- In shallow dish or pie pan, stir Bisquick mix, milk, cinnamon, orange peel, vanilla and egg with whisk or fork until blended.
- Heat nonstick griddle to 350°F or nonstick skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich into batter mixture, turning to coat both sides; drain excess batter in dish. Cook on hot griddle or skillet 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Sprinkle each sandwich with powdered sugar; serve with syrup.
