Steps:
- In a large bowl combine flour baking soda salt and cinnamon. Stir with a fork to combine. In a mixing bowl combine eggs sugar oil and vanilla. Beat at low speed for 1 minute. Add dry ingredients at low speed. Fold in apples and nuts. Batter will be very stiff. Spread butter in a buttered and greased 9x13x2 inch baking pan and bake at 350 degree oven for 60 minutes or until cake tests done. Allow cake to cool for 10 minutes. Pour hot topping o ver cake. Allow to cool completely. To make topping in a small saucepan bring butter milk and brown sugar to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 1 minute stirring until sugar is completely dissolved.
