4 cinnamon sticks
10 allspice berries
1 orange, zest of, removed with a vegetable peeler
1/2 cup dark rum (optional)

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, stir together all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then adjust the heat to simmer for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
