Nugget Bread Pudding image

The Golden Nugget in Laughlin, Nevada makes a wonderful bread pudding. It's rich, creamy and oh, so decadent. This recipe makes a boatload.My mom somehow managed to get her hands on their recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 6

15 whole eggs
40 oz. half and half (1 quart plus 1 cup)
12 oz. heavy cream (1 1/2 cups)
1 lb. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
bread and raisins

Steps:

  • 1. Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla, half and half. Mix heavy cream.
  • 2. . Break bread or leave whole thick Texas style. Sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon sugar.
  • 3. Place in double boiler, water bath:Outside pan, 12 x 16, inside pan, 10 x 15.
  • 4. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325. covered with foil. I guess you can make 1/2 this recipe. Sure is rich, but oh, so delicious. Enjoy, Serves a boatload. Mom got this recipe when she visited the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, Nevada, many years ago. It's very rich, and makes a lot! I don't know if you can divide this recipe, as it has 15 eggs in it.
