Quick And Easy BBQ Sauce Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: ketchup, italian dressing, sugar, fresh herbs, freshly ground black pepper, nutmeg, cheese

Number Of Ingredients 7

½ cup ketchup
5 tablespoons italian dressing, or vinaigrette
1 tablespoon sugar, plus 1/2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon fresh herbs, (parsley, rosemary, thyme, basil)
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
nutmeg, to taste
cheese, optional

Steps:

  • In a pot over low heat, add all the ingredients together and stir well.
  • Simmer for 5-8 minutes until sugar is melted.
  • Add a dash of nutmeg and ¼-½ cup of your favorite cheese, if using.
  • If serving with meat, you can add cooked meat at this point. Alternatively, spoon the finished barbecue sauce over your food.
