Sausage and Sauerkraut Supper image

Grandma thought of this supper as a treat. She loved sauerkraut and sometimes made her own.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 lb smoked sausage (use low fat sausage for heart healthy eating)
1 jar(s) sauerkraut (32 ounces)
2 c sliced potatoes
1 thinly sliced onion

Steps:

  • 1. Place sauerkraut in bottom of a large casserole dish. Top with onions and potatoes. Cut sausage into serving sized pieces. Place on top of casserole. Cover dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and done.
