Sausage Breakfast Casserole image

It's our traditional Christmas morning breakfast. I assemble on Christmas Eve and refrigerate overnight, then bake in the morning.

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 slice bread, torn into chunks
1 lb hot pork sausage, i prefer jimmy dean
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
12 eggs, beaten
1/2 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Grease the bottom of a 9"x13" pan. Tear up 6 slices of bread and place in the bottom of the pan. Cook the sausage, drain, and sprinkle over bread pieces. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over sausage. Mix eggs and milk together and pour over casserole. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until set.
