I used to be a nanny for two children when i was just about 18. The woman I worked for made these every year for Christmas. When I got out on my own I asked her for the recipe and I have been making them every since! They are a delicious soft cookie with a light flavor and a sweet buttery icing on top!

Steps:
- 1. Mix together sugar and shortening, then add eggs one at a time stirring after each egg.
- 2. Add vanilla and sour cream
- 3. Now stir in your dry ingredients.
- 4. Refrigerate dough for about an hour to make it easier to work with.
- 5. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake in 375 degree preheated oven for 8-10 minutes
- 6. cool slightly and remove from cookie sheet.
- 7. For icing: Mix sugar butter and vanilla together. Add milk until desired consistancy. Frost each cookie and then top with sprinkles or colored sugar
