From Family Circle magazine. I usually never make things from canned ingredients, but I had baked a few scratch cakes and at the last minute I wanted to make sure I had enough desserts. Very easy and surprisingly good.

I would make this cake again, but I would make a few changes. I would use less spices and I would add a little more butter or oil to the batter.

Overall, I thought this cake was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

The cake batter was very thick and difficult to stir. I had to add a little extra milk to get it to a pourable consistency.

I found this cake to be a bit dry. I think it would have been better with a little more butter or oil.

This cake was a bit too spicy for my taste, but I think that's just a matter of personal preference. Otherwise, it was a good cake.

This cake is a bit more dense than I expected, but it's still very good. The flavors are great and it's a nice change from the usual chocolate or vanilla cake.

I'm not a big fan of pears, but I really enjoyed this cake. The spices balanced out the sweetness of the pears perfectly.

This spiced pear cake was an absolute delight! The flavors of the pears and spices blended perfectly, and the cake was moist and fluffy. I'll definitely be making this again.
