SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE image

Yield 8 people

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 lb butternut squash
1/2 c brown sugar
1/4 c butter, melted
1 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
2 baking apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch slices

Steps:

  • Cut each squash in half. Remove seeds and fibers; peel. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Stir remaining ingredients (except apples) in a small bowl. Arrange squash in ungreased naking dish. Top with apple slices. Sprinkle sugar mixture on top. Cover with foil. Bake 50 to 60 minutes in a 350 degree oven until tender.
