Turkey Meatloaf (No Ketchup or Tomato) image

I LOVE this meatloaf!!! I finally found a turkey meatloaf that has great flavor and isn't dry! Love it in sandwiches too! I know it sounds strange to add stuffing and beef gravy to a turkey meatloaf, but it sure does work well for me. This came from somewhere on the web - can't remember where.

Time 2h10m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 (12 ounce) jar fat free beef gravy
2 lbs ground turkey
1 (6 1/4 ounce) package Stove Top low-sodium chicken stuffing mix
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Pour 1/4 cup gravy in a large bowl.
  • Add meat, stuffing and eggs- mix lightly.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a baking pan.
  • Pour 2/3 of the remaining gravy over the meatloaf.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes under a loose foil cap, then remove and cook about another 50 minutes until top is browned-
  • If desired, potatoes and carrots could be added to the pan around the meatloaf.
  • If I do add them, I mix some water with the remaining gravy and pour it over the potatoes.

This meatloaf is a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. I always add some chopped carrots and celery to the mix and they love it.

I'm always looking for new ways to use up leftover turkey. This meatloaf is a great option and it's also a healthier alternative to traditional beef meatloaf.

I was skeptical about making meatloaf with turkey, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was just as good as beef meatloaf, if not better.

I'm not a fan of turkey, but I really enjoyed this meatloaf. It was moist and flavorful, and the lack of ketchup or tomato sauce made it a lighter, healthier option.
