Time 5m

Yield 2 cocktails (about 4 ounces each)

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 ounces coffee-flavored liquor
4 ounces Russian vodka
3/4 cup heavy cream
4 whole coffee beans

Steps:

  • Stir the coffee-flavored liquor and vodka with some ice cubes in a carafe with a long spoon and pour into 2 chilled coupe glasses.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add the heavy cream. Close and shake vigorously for 30 seconds to thicken and aerate. Open the shaker and spoon the cream gently on top of each cocktail so it floats in a layer. Use a rasp to grate the fresh coffee beans on top of the cream. Enjoy.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my White Russian turned out watery and bland. I'll have to try it again.

A bit too strong for my taste, but still enjoyable. I think I'll try it with less vodka next time.

Not bad! I'm not usually a fan of White Russians, but this one was pretty good. The coffee flavor was strong and the cream and vodka balanced it out nicely. I'll definitely be making this again.
