Applesauce Cinnamon Chip Bars image

bought cinnamon chips by mistake and thought about what they would be good with and came up with this recipe. Kid tested and approved.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 c butter
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c applesauce
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
3 c flour
1 pkg cinnamon chips

Steps:

  • 1. cream together butter and sugars, then add applesauce, eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients and chips. Spread in onto a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20 mins. If you want to do cookies bake for 10 to 12 mins.

These bars were not good. The applesauce made them too mushy and the cinnamon chips were overpowering. I would not make these again.
