Applesauce Squares image

Easy to make and oh so good!

Number Of Ingredients 11

½ cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup raisins
1 ½ cups applesauce
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • Blend in cinnamon, flour, baking soda and salt; add raisins, nuts and applesauce. Mix well.
  • Place batter into the prepared baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve.
