Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready to go. This will make the baking process much smoother and less stressful.
  • Measuring Ingredients Accurately: Use measuring cups and spoons to accurately measure your ingredients. This will help ensure that your baked goods turn out perfectly.
  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Whenever possible, use room temperature ingredients. This will help your ingredients mix together more easily and evenly.
  • Creaming Butter and Sugar Together: When creaming butter and sugar together, make sure to beat them until they are light and fluffy. This will help to incorporate air into the mixture, which will make your baked goods lighter and more tender.
  • Do Not Overmix: Overmixing can toughen your baked goods. Mix your ingredients just until they are combined. If you are unsure if your mixture is overmixed, it is better to err on the side of caution and stop mixing.
