BLACK DIAMOND STEAK MARINADE
I adapted this from another black diamond recipe that I thought was a little sweet (that one had honey in it too which i guess you could add.) This is DEFINITELY my "go to" marinade, and I've used it on chicken as well. Hubby doesn't want any other type of marinade any more...and this one is so easy and so good, neither do I! ...

Steps:
- 1. You can use any steak you want. What you see in the picture is a flank steak.
- 2. Put all the ingredients in a bowl then place your steak in the bowl. I use a needler to both tenderize the steak and to infuse the marinade in to the meat.
- 3. Place steak into a zip top bag along with marinade and place in refrigerator. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
- 4. Grill steak to your liking. Serve with baked potato.
Tips:
- Choose the right cut of steak: The best cuts of steak for marinating are those that are tough and flavorful, such as flank steak, skirt steak, or hanger steak. These cuts will benefit from the tenderizing effects of the marinade.
- Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the steak its flavor, so it's important to use one that you enjoy. There are many different recipes for marinades, so experiment until you find one that you like.
- Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes: The longer you marinate the steak, the more flavorful it will be. However, don't marinate the steak for more than 24 hours, or it will start to break down and become mushy.
- Bring the steak to room temperature before cooking: This will help the steak cook more evenly.
- Cook the steak over high heat: This will help to sear the steak and lock in the juices.
- Let the steak rest before slicing: This will help the juices redistribute throughout the steak, making it more tender and flavorful.
Conclusion:
Black diamond steak marinade is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your steak. By following these tips, you can create a flavorful and juicy steak that will be a hit at your next cookout.
