Tips:

  • When melting chocolate, use a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently, to prevent overheating and seizing.
  • If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can test the sugar syrup by dropping a small amount into a glass of cold water. If it forms a soft ball, it's ready.
  • To make the sleighs easier to assemble, chill the chocolate pieces in the refrigerator for a few minutes before dipping them in the melted chocolate.
  • When assembling the sleighs, be sure to press the pieces together firmly so that they don't fall apart.
  • If you're using candy canes as runners, cut them to the desired length before assembling the sleighs.
  • Store the finished sleighs in a cool, dry place.

Conclusion:

Candy sleighs are a festive and delicious treat that is perfect for Christmas. They're easy to make and can be customized with your favorite toppings. With a little creativity, you can create beautiful and unique sleighs that will impress your friends and family. So get creative and have fun!
