Number Of Ingredients 4

1 c chocolate chips
1/2 c creamy peanut butter
3 1/2 c cheerios
1/2 c peanuts, chopped, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Stir until smooth. Gently fold in cereal. Spoon individual clusters onto wax paper. Cool in refridgerator until set.

Tips:

  • Use a candy thermometer to ensure the chocolate is melted to the correct temperature. Overheating the chocolate can cause it to seize and become unusable.
  • Line your baking sheets with parchment paper. This will prevent the clusters from sticking and make them easier to remove.
  • Do not stir the chocolate while it is melting. Stirring can cause the chocolate to become grainy.
  • Do not overcrowd the baking sheets. Give the clusters plenty of space so that they can spread out and cool evenly.
  • Be patient. It takes time for the clusters to cool and harden. Do not try to rush the process or you may end up with soft, gooey clusters.
