Tips:

  • Use quality chocolate: The type of chocolate you use will significantly impact the flavor of your squares. Opt for a high-quality dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Toast the nuts: Toasting the nuts before adding them to the batter will enhance their flavor and give them a slightly crunchy texture.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixed batter can result in tough, dense squares. Mix only until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Bake until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey: The squares should have a slightly soft center when you remove them from the oven. They will continue to set as they cool.
  • Allow the squares to cool completely before cutting them: This will help prevent them from falling apart.
