¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup cola-flavored carbonated beverage
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ cup buttermilk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Heat to boiling: butter, cocoa and cola drink.
  • Remove from heat and add flour, sugar, baking soda and mix gently. Stir in buttermilk, eggs, vanilla and marshmallows.
  • Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 35 minutes. Cake can be frosted while warm. Makes 10 to 12 servings.

2 c sugar
2 stick butter
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 c coco cola
1/2 c buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c marshmallows, mini
ICING FOR FAITH HILLS COCO COLA CAKE
1/2 c butter
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
6 Tbsp coco cola
1 box (16 oz) confectioners sugar

Steps:

  • 1. sift the flour and sugar in a bowl.
  • 2. heat the butter, cocoa and coco cola in a saucepan to boiling point.
  • 3. pour the hot mixture over the flour/sugar mixture.
  • 4. add the buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla and marshmallows. (batter will be thin and marshmallows will float to the top.)
  • 5. pour the batter into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
  • 6. bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
  • 7. ice cake while still hot.
  • 8. icing: combine all of the ingredients and heat to boiling.
  • 9. pour over cake while it is still hot.
