SPINACH ARTICHOKE CRAB DIP
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease an 8" gratin dish or shallow, oven proof dish. Melt butter over medium heat in heavy gauge sauce pan. Add minced garlic and flour and stir until smooth. Add milk and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly over medium heat. Add Alouette Spinach Artichoke Spreadable Cheese and heat until melted. Add ground nutmeg and season to taste with salt and pepper. Fold in crab meat and spoon into prepared baking dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve warm.
Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Fresh crab, spinach, and artichoke hearts will give your dip the best flavor.
- Don't overcook the crab. Crab meat is delicate and can easily become tough if it's overcooked. Cook it just until it's opaque and tender.
- Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the main ingredients in this dip, so it's important to use a good quality cheese that melts well. A sharp cheddar or Gruyère cheese are both good choices.
- Season the dip to taste. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. You can also add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little bit of heat.
- Serve the dip warm. This dip is best served warm, so make it just before you're ready to serve it.
Conclusion:
Crab Spinach Artichoke Dip is a delicious and versatile appetizer that's perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like it cheesy, spicy, or garlicky, this dip is sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a crowd-pleasing appetizer, give Crab Spinach Artichoke Dip a try.
