SEVEN LAYER BBQ BACON DIP
This recipe is courtesy of Kraft foods. It's really different and alway goes over great! I use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce for this and also suggest very sturdy chips such as Frito Scoops or authentic torilla chips as the the thinner chips tend to break when you try to scoop this delicious dip! (Cook time is the time to cook bacon if not using jarred real bacon pieces)

Tips:
- For a smoky flavor, use bacon that has been smoked over hickory or applewood.
- To make the dip ahead of time, prepare it as directed and then store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When ready to serve, reheat the dip in a slow cooker or on the stovetop over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- If you don't have ranch dressing mix, you can make your own by combining 1 tablespoon dried parsley, 1 tablespoon dried onion, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
- For a cheesy dip, use a combination of sharp cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese.
- To add a bit of spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
