Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your cookies will be.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make your cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help your cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaked cookies will be dry and crumbly. Bake until the edges are golden brown and the centers are just set.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. This will help them keep their shape and prevent them from becoming crumbly.

Conclusion:

Dad's Oatmeal Cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that the whole family will enjoy. With their chewy texture, sweet banana flavor, and hearty oats, these cookies are perfect for a snack or dessert. Plus, they're a great way to use up overripe bananas.
