MOM'S BEST EVER TURKEY MEATLOAF
This recipe was modified from one I found in a cookbook published by "The Turkey Store". My family, and everyone I have ever served it too love it and can't believe that it is low fat, low cholesterol. And recently I started substituting oatmeal for bread crumbs since my husband's doctor put him on an even stricter diet than before. It is easy, there is no need to sauté the onions, bell pepper and garlic before mixing with the rest of the ingredients. It is also moist and very tasty. I usually serve with baked sweet potatoes and fresh green beans. It makes GREAT sandwiches the next day.

BEST TURKEY MEATLOAF
After much trial and error trying to make a more healthy meatloaf, I came up with this recipe. It is important to make this on a baking sheet so the liquids can be drained off the meatloaf. Also, do not put the topping on before the meatloaf has cooked for 30 minutes. Turkey creates a lot of juices, so if you put the topping on first it will become watery and runny.

Tips:
- Use a variety of spices and herbs: This will help to give your turkey loaf a flavorful and delicious taste. Some good options include sage, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Don't overmix the meat: Overmixing can make the turkey loaf tough and rubbery. Mix just until the ingredients are well combined.
- Bake the turkey loaf in a loaf pan: This will help to keep it moist and prevent it from drying out.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the turkey loaf is cooked through: The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the turkey loaf rest before slicing: This will help the juices to redistribute and make the turkey loaf easier to slice.
Conclusion:
Turkey loaf is a delicious and versatile dish that can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is a great way to use up leftover turkey, and it can also be made with ground turkey. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will enjoy.
