Time 20m

Yield 4 sandwiches, 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 loaf Italian bread
3 tablespoons butter, softened
4 ounces ham, thinly sliced
4 ounces swiss cheese, sliced
fresh basil leaf
1/4 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Slice bread on the diagonal so you have longer slices, into 8 slices for 4 sandwiches. Place olive oil and garlic in small saucepan and heat only till it's just warm and garlic infuses into oil. Remove from heat. Butter inside of bread slices. Place ham on microwavable dish and heat through. Blot any juices that lay on the plate so it doesn't make sandwiches soggy.
  • Preheat large skillet or griddle on stovetop on medium heat. Put ham on buttered bread, then basil leaves, then cheese. Brush garlic-infused olive oil on outside of sandwiches and place in preheated skillet or griddle. Lightly brown on each side.

1 Tbsp dijon mustard
1/2 c italian sandwich spread
24 slice summer sausage
8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, cubed
1 roasted bell pepper
4 oz provolone cheese
1/4 c extra virgin olive oil

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, flavorful ingredients to ensure the best possible sandwich. Look for ripe tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and high-quality cheese.
  • Marinate the chicken: Marinating the chicken in a flavorful mixture of herbs, spices, and olive oil will add depth of flavor and keep the chicken moist during grilling.
  • Grill the chicken to perfection: Cook the chicken over medium heat until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. This will ensure that the chicken is cooked through without drying out.
  • Toast the bread: Toasting the bread will help it hold up to the sandwich fillings and prevent it from getting soggy.
  • Layer the sandwich properly: Start with the toasted bread, then add the chicken, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and any other desired toppings. Be sure to spread the fillings evenly so that each bite is packed with flavor.
