AVOCADO WITH LIME AND CHILIES

Avocado With Lime and Chilies image

I love an avocado salad nomatter what, but this one is particularly refreshing. The lime dressing will keep for 3-5 days in a covered container in the refrigerator. If limes are unavailable, use lemons instead. You can also cut the avocado into cubes or make into balls with a melon baller (the avocado must be firm), pour over the dressing as indicated and serve as an appetizer.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use ripe avocados. Look for avocados that are dark green or black in color and slightly soft to the touch.
  • If your avocados are not ripe, you can speed up the ripening process by placing them in a paper bag with a ripe banana or apple. The ethylene gas released by the banana or apple will help the avocados to ripen more quickly.
  • To make your guacamole extra creamy, use a food processor or blender to puree the avocados. If you prefer a chunkier guacamole, simply mash the avocados with a fork.
  • Add your favorite seasonings to taste. Some popular options include lime juice, cilantro, jalapeños, and salt.
  • Serve your guacamole immediately, or store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Conclusion:

Guacamole is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed as a dip, a spread, or a topping. It is a great way to add flavor and nutrition to your meals. With so many different variations to choose from, there is sure to be a guacamole recipe that everyone will enjoy.
