CHOCOLATE CHIP KAHLUA® PECAN PIE

Chocolate Chip Kahlua® Pecan Pie image

Kahlua®, pecan, and chocolate pie; that is the perfect autumn desert. The chocolate chips don't make it too sweet and add just the right texture to a pecan pie. The Kahlua® tastes better if you let the pie sit for a day or two. This is not just your typical pecan pie. You can substitute Kahlua®-flavored coffee syrup for the Kahlua® liqueur, if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.

CHOCOLATE WALNUT KAHLUA BALLS (NO BAKE)

Chocolate Walnut Kahlua Balls (No Bake) image

I have made these using dark rum, Grand Marnier and Bailey's Irish Cream, you can use any three with success.. I usually make these treats around the holiday season, but of coarse you can make them at any time. I make one batch using semisweet chocolate and one with white chocolate, these really should chill overnight before serving them, you'll be lucky if they make until the next day LOL! Yield is only estimated depending on the size of the balls --- you will LOVE these! :)

Provided by Kittencalrecipezazz

Categories     Dessert

Time 25m

Yield 40 balls (approx)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or use white chocolate chips)
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup Kahlua (or 1/2 cup dark rum)
2 1/2 cups finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies (measure 2-1/2 cups after crushing, about 10 ounces)
1 1/2 cups walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 cup powdered sugar (can use regular sugar for coating also)

Steps:

  • Stir the chocolate over simmering water in a double boiler until melted and smooth; remove from heat.
  • Whisk in 1/2 cup sugar and corn syrup then the Kahlua.
  • In a small bowl mix together the chopped walnuts and crushed wafers; add in the chocolate mixture and mix well.
  • Shape into small balls.
  • Place powdered sugar in a shallow bowl.
  • Roll each ball in the powdered sugar to coat.
  • Place in an air-tight container and refrigerate overnight.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the Kahlúa will taste. Use fresh coffee, good-quality cocoa powder, and real vanilla extract.
  • Roast the coffee beans yourself: This will give the Kahlúa a richer, more complex flavor. If you don't have time to roast your own beans, you can buy pre-roasted beans that are specifically предназначены for making Kahlúa.
  • Experiment with different types of coffee beans: Different types of coffee beans will produce different flavors of Kahlúa. Try using a variety of beans to find the one that you like best.
  • Infuse the Kahlúa with other flavors: You can add a variety of flavors to Kahlúa by infusing it with different ingredients. Try infusing it with vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, or orange peel.
  • Let the Kahlúa age: Aging will improve the flavor of the Kahlúa. You can age it for a few weeks or even a few months. The longer you age it, the better it will taste.

Conclusion:

Kahlúa is a versatile liqueur that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. It can be sipped neat, on the rocks, or mixed with other ingredients to create delicious cocktails. It is also a popular ingredient in baking and desserts. With its rich, coffee-chocolate flavor, Kahlúa is sure to please everyone.
