1 tbsp steak spice 15 mL
2 tsp chopped fresh thyme 10 mL

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Season wings with steak spice and thyme. Toss wings in flour, shake off excess and arrange on a lightly greased foil-lined baking sheet. Brush wings lightly with vegetable oil and bake, turning occasionally, for 50 to 60 min. or until golden brown and crispy.

2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon wasabi paste

2 to 3 pounds chicken wing drumettes
1 cup honey
1/2 cup sweet soy sauce
1/3 cup sambal chili sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Canola oil, for frying

Steps:

  • For the dipping sauce: Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice and wasabi in a small bowl and season with salt and pepper. Keep the sauce in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • For the wings: Cut the meat of the drumettes at the base of the bone and pull the meat down to form lollipops.

2 pounds chicken wings
½ teaspoon salt, or more to taste
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ cup hot sauce
½ tablespoon red wine vinegar
½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ tablespoon honey
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 stalks celery, sliced, or to taste
2 carrots, sliced, or to taste
