1/2 tsp salt
3 c all purpose flour
2 c (12oz) pkg. ghirardeli mini semisweet chocolate chips
powdered sugar, for dusting on top

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375F. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in morsels.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips. The better the chocolate chips, the better the cookies will taste. Look for chips that are made with real chocolate and have a high cocoa content.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature. The cookies should be baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are just set.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before decorating them. This will help the frosting set properly.
