EASIEST FALAFEL

Easiest Falafel image

Super quick and easy - you will probably have all the ingredients in your pantry already! Serve with your favorite sauce! I served mine with spicy mayo, made by mixing 3 tablespoons mayo with 1/2 tablespoon sriracha. It would also be great with tzatziki or spicy mustard.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe peaches: Use peaches that are fragrant and slightly soft to the touch. Avoid peaches that are bruised or have brown spots.
  • Peel the peaches: To easily peel the peaches, score an X on the bottom of each peach and place them in a bowl of boiling water for 30 seconds. Remove the peaches from the water and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice water. The skins will then slip off easily.
  • Pit the peaches: Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits. You can also use a cherry pitter to remove the pits.
  • Use fresh farfel: Farfel is a type of pasta that is made from matzo meal. It can be found in the kosher section of most grocery stores. If you can't find fresh farfel, you can also use dried farfel, but be sure to soak it in water for 30 minutes before using.
  • Cook the farfel: Cook the farfel according to the package directions. Farfel is typically cooked in boiling water for 10-12 minutes, or until it is tender.
  • Add the peaches and butter: Once the farfel is cooked, add the peaches and butter to the pot. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes, or until the peaches are heated through.

Conclusion:

Peach farfel is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for summer gatherings. The combination of sweet peaches, savory farfel, and creamy butter is sure to please everyone at your table. Serve peach farfel as a side dish with grilled chicken or fish, or as a main course with a side salad. You can also enjoy peach farfel as a cold salad. Simply refrigerate the leftovers overnight and serve chilled the next day.
