1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 teaspoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 7 ingredients. Cook, covered, on low until carrots are tender, 4-5 hours., In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into carrot mixture until sauce is thickened, 1-2 minutes.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons butter

1 ½ teaspoons cornstarch
½ cup orange juice
⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon Minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Place carrots in a saucepan; add 1 in. of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until crisp-tender, about 7-9 minutes. drain; set aside and keep warm. In the same pan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, orange juice, ginger and nutmeg until smooth. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 1 minute.
