This is one of my daughter Didi's favorite kugels. She's a cereal freak, loves anything made out of cereal. What's really great about this kugel is that no one will think that it's been made out of Snap, Crackle and Pop (may they rest in peace).

  • Soak the rice before cooking. This helps to remove some of the starch from the rice, resulting in a less sticky kugel.
  • Use a flavorful broth. The broth you use to cook the rice will add a lot of flavor to the kugel, so choose one that you enjoy. Chicken broth, vegetable broth, or beef broth are all good options.
  • Add some mix-ins. Rice kugel is a versatile dish that can be customized with a variety of mix-ins. Some popular options include cooked vegetables, cheese, nuts, and dried fruits.
  • Bake until golden brown. The top of the kugel should be golden brown and crispy when it is done baking.
