Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples. This will give your crisp a more complex flavor and texture. Some good choices include Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady apples.
  • Peel and core your apples before slicing them. This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from becoming mushy.
  • Don't overcrowd the slow cooker. Leave some space between the apples so they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the crisp on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours. Check the crisp after 6 hours on low or 3 hours on high to see if it is done. The apples should be tender and the topping should be golden brown.
  • Serve the crisp warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Conclusion:

This slow cooker praline apple crisp is an easy and delicious dessert that is perfect for fall. The apples are cooked until they are tender and the topping is golden brown and crunchy. The praline sauce adds a delicious nutty flavor to the crisp. This dessert is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
