Tips:

  • Choose the right pumpkin: Use a small sugar pumpkin or pie pumpkin for the best flavor. Avoid using large pumpkins, as they have a higher water content and can make the chili too watery.
  • Roast the pumpkin: Roasting the pumpkin before adding it to the chili intensifies its flavor. You can roast the pumpkin in the oven or in a slow cooker.
  • Use ground turkey: Ground turkey is a lean and healthy protein option for this chili. You can also use ground chicken or beef, if you prefer.
  • Add plenty of spices: This chili is packed with flavor from a variety of spices, including chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika. Feel free to adjust the amount of spices to your liking.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: This chili is a great opportunity to get creative in the kitchen. Try adding different vegetables, beans, or spices to make it your own.
