2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 package (4 ounces) smoked salmon or lox
3 tablespoons horseradish sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Creole seasoning
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
Chopped walnuts and snipped fresh dill
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • Place the first seven ingredients in a food processor; process until blended. Transfer to a serving dish; sprinkle with walnuts and dill. Refrigerate, covered, until serving. Serve with crackers.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 (7 ounce) can salmon, drained and flaked
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix salmon, cream cheese, lemon juice, green onions, horseradish, salt, hot pepper sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Form the mixture into a ball and wrap in plastic. Chill in the refrigerator 3 hours, or until firm.
  • On a large piece of wax paper, mix walnuts and fresh parsley. Roll the ball in the walnuts and parsley until thoroughly coated. Chill in the refrigerator until serving.

1 (8 ounces) package Changing Seas Norwegian Smoked Salmon, roughly chopped
1 (8 ounces) package Neufchâtel cheese
1/4 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 green onions, roughly chopped
3/4 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley, divided

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients except for parsley into a food processor and pulse until combined, but not perfectly smooth. Transfer to a bowl, cover and chill until very cold, about 4 hours. Arrange half of parsley on a plate. Keeping half of salmon mixture chilled, spoon other half onto parsley, sprinkle parsley all over to coat and shape into a ball. Repeat with remaining parsley and salmon mixture. (If you choose to make smaller cheese balls, keep the cheese mixture very cold and work quickly.) Cover and chill until ready to serve.

1 (3 ounce) package smoked salmon, chopped (or Nova Lox)
8 ounces cream cheese
1 medium red onion, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh dill (or 1 T dried dill weed)
1 red onion, cut into thin rings
3 tablespoons capers
dill sprigs (to garnish)
lemon wedge (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Combine salmon, cream cheese, chopped onion and dill.
  • Shape into ball, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • To serve: Cover serving tray with onion rings and sprinkle over capers. Place salmon ball on onion bed and capers. Garnish with dill and lemon wedge. Serve with toasts.
