CHOCOLATE WALNUT COOKIES

This recipe is a classic and has always been well-received at the cookie swap. I measure out my dry ingredients on a piece of parchment paper and this makes it easier to add into the mixer. I also make large batches of the dough and keep it in the fridge during the holidays so I always have freshly baked cookies on hand when company drops in.

  • Use high-quality chocolate: The quality of the chocolate you use will greatly affect the flavor of the cookies. Look for a chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough: Chilling the dough before baking will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature: Baking the cookies at a high temperature will help them develop a crispy exterior and a chewy interior.
  • Let the cookies cool completely: Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. This will help them develop their full flavor and texture.

Conclusion:

These spiced chocolate chunk walnut cookies are the perfect holiday treat. They're chewy, chocolatey, and packed with flavor. They're also easy to make, so you can enjoy them with your family and friends all season long.
