1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix or 1 (18 ounce) package butter recipe cake mix
1/3 cup margarine or 1/3 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Grease 13 x 9 inch pan.
  • Reserve 2/3 cup of the dry cake mix for filling.
  • In a large bowl, combine remaining dry cake mix, margarine and 1 egg at low speed until well blended.
  • Press in bottom of greased pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • In large bowl, combine reserved 2/3 cup dry cake mix, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and 3 eggs at low speed until moistened.
  • Beat 1 minute at medium speed or until well blended.
  • Pour filling mixture over warm base; sprinkle with pecans.
  • Bake an additional 30-35 minutes or until filling is set.
  • Cool completely.
  • Cut into 36 bars.
  • Store in refrigerator.

1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
½ cup butter, melted
1 egg
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 ½ cups dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9 x13 inch baking pan.
  • Reserve 2/3 cup of the cake mix and set aside. In a large bowl combine the remaining cake mix, melted butter and 1 egg. Mix until crumbly then press mixture into the prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes, until light golden brown.
  • Combine the reserved 2/3 cup cake mix, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and 3 eggs. Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour filling over the baked crust and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Return to oven and bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes, until the filling is set. Cool and cut into 36 bars.

2 pouches (17.5 oz each) Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 bag (10 to 12 oz) fun-size candy bars, unwrapped

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In medium bowl, mix 1 pouch of cookie mix, 1/2 cup of the butter and 1 egg with spoon until soft dough forms. Press dough in bottom of pan.
  • Line up candy bars over dough, or chop candy bars and sprinkle over dough.
  • Mix second pouch of cookie mix with remaining 1/2 cup butter and egg. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls over candy bars. Gently press with hands, covering candy completely and making top layer even.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on cooling rack. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

This recipe is soooo easy and so yummy. Nobody ever believes that that base has Ritz crackers in it! I have also made this recipe using sliced almonds instead of the skor chips. (I saved some almonds to sprinkle over the chocolate layer.)

1 can condensed milk
1 package Skor chips
1 package milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Crush crackers to small pieces but not crumbs.
  • Add Skor bits and mix.
  • Pour in Condensed milk, mix thoroughly.
  • Pat into 9 x 13 pan lined with parchment paper.
